Voice Work / Voice Overs from Professional Female Voice Over Talent

In addition to being a copywriter, I’m also an independent voiceover talent. I voice radio spots and interactive CDs. While I don’t have my own studio, I’m happy to travel to yours or to a local recording studio. I can also book studio time at StarFleet Audio in Sutton, Massachusetts (subject to fees and availability). With over 10 years of experience as a radio broadcaster and female voiceover artist, I’ve developed numerous delivery styles including:

  • Authoritative
  • Quirky
  • Funny
  • Hard-sell
  • Call-to-action
  • Matter-of-fact
  • Child-like (I have a youthful-sounding female voice!)

Check out examples of my voice work. All of the selections are MP3s.

Fees for VOs are based on an hourly rate. I also write radio scripts, which helps my copywriting and business writing. Why? Simple. When a person reads, they’re essentially saying the words out loud in their head. It’s called subvocalization. When we comment that a piece of writing reads well, we mean that when we “subvocalize” the copy, we don’t even realize that’s what we’re doing...it’s just natural.

I know when copy sounds right. I know how to write copy that sounds right. I’ve been doing it successfully for over eight years in radio. And although people who write for print can’t always translate it to the airwaves, often someone who writes for broadcasting is quite successful writing for print. It’s that person’s job to develop a certain conversational, easy-going style so that the listener (a.k.a the customer) doesn’t switch to a different station. Be sure to check out my copywriting portfolio and radio ad copy examples.
